Preface

What a long, strange road it's been to this point.

This is, I suppose, Ian's blog version 3.0. Version 1.0 was a blog I hosted on my own domain, which was mostly an online journal. There was no provision for commenting, no useful backlinks, and really it was just a jumbled mess which almost nobody read anyway. Version 2.0 was what I built when I first came to Blogger, entitled EDog's Everything Page. Those posts are archived here (not that anybody really goes back to read archived posts, but it's nice to know they're there).

This Version 3.0 marks a radical change in my blogging direction. Perpetual Writer's Blog is my chronicle of my writing adventures, pitfalls, greatest triumphs, and dismal failures (hopefully there won't be too many of these!). Here you will find snippets of my writing, information about my works both in progress and completed, and general discourses on the wild and wacky career I've chosen for myself. It has been hinted to me from many of my readers that they don't want to see the end of my idiotic and humorous musings that filled EDog's Everything Page, and don't worry - I've come up with a solution. Since my life is clearly not yet complicated enough, I have chosen to open yet another blog, where I will keep up with my personal tales, observational humor, and the general obnoxiousness which you, my readers, have come to expect. If you want to read about the art of writing, or rather, the Art of Writing (for it really deserves the boldface and capitals), then you'll find Perpetual Writer's Blog your cup of tea. If you're looking for the fluff, head on over to The Popcorn Principle and snack away to your heart's content.

In the meantime, pull up a chair, pour yourself a glass of your favorite recreational, and enjoy yourself while you're here.
