So far in I can't get out
The Complex (Live Album Version) - Blue Man Group
Just a quick post to let you know I'm still around. I'm through 5 chapters of Blackout now, and I'm really enjoying working on this book. I anticipate completing the first draft by the end of the summer at the latest. At that point, I'll switch to doing rewrites on Pariah's Moon and The Archmage and work on those until NaNoWriMo.
My idea for NaNoWriMo struck me suddenly out of the blue (like they usually do). I'm not going to go into details, because I typically try not to think too much about NaNoBooks before I start them. I do know that it will be funny, because it's been a few years since I've really written something humorous and it's time. I also have a working title of Blood and Ice, and know that it will combine vampires and minor league hockey.
I'm starting to think about a redesign of my website, so if you have any ideas how I could improve it (read: do it myself because I'm broke), I'd like to hear them.

5 Critics:
Glad you are being so productive. Now get back to your book!
You could use Wordpress.org open source blogging software to run on your existing URL, which, if anything like the dot-com version, is easy to use and make new pages and works with the template you have.
I know you're prejudiced against WP, but it's worth checking out.
Holy cow in the pasture, Ian, can't you just settle for world domination?!
You're really going to finish ANOTHER novel by the end of summer, rewrite/edit TWO more stories, then write a new one in the month of November?
(I'm not even counting the website redesign at this point. Can't. Wrap. My head. Around it.)
Concerning your website? You really ought to consider hiring someone to design it for you--someone NEW who is looking to expand his/her portfolio. You want something professional and clean, something that will reflect WHAT you write (not that you ARE a writer, which is what I see now).
Yeesh, I totally got opinionated on that, didn't I?
I can Drupalize your site for you. You can have everything you ever wanted, with a logo made of legos and cheese, for the low one time fee of a Venti latte. What say you?
@CotW: Yes ma'am!
@Sherri: I don't really want my website to look like my blog. I'm not sure WHAT I want, which is why I'm trawling for ideas.
@Unhinged: Well, I seem to have just gotten an offer for a remarkably good deal, so I may do something with it.
@Maleesha: I don't know what that is, but it sounds dirty, so I like it.
